The Industry
Ø
What is Direct
Selling?
§
Direct Selling involves
the sale of a product – not an opportunity. This is what
distinguishes us from a pyramid scam. In a pyramid, you are simply
selling the opportunity to sell the opportunity. That type of
business is illegal because people get hurt. The guy at the top
takes money from those at the bottom, and once he has what he came
for, he disappears, and so does any opportunity for the majority of
people involved. If somebody offers you an opportunity to sell an
opportunity, don’t walk away, run away as fast as you can!
§
Sales are made person
to person, away from a fixed retail location. This means minimal
overhead, and higher income opportunity.
§
Home party direct sales
are conducted primarily through in home presentations, in a social
setting. We are invited into a home by the hostess, and we learn to
present our products in a fun, friendly manner. It’s very relaxed,
and low pressure, which allows guests – customers, to feel very
comfortable about purchasing or not.
Ø
Sales Potential
§
Sales within the direct
selling industry have enjoyed consistent increase over a long period
of time.
§
This is a multi billion
dollar industry, and it’s here to stay.
Ø
People Powered
§
Along with increased
sales, this industry enjoys increasing popularity and consistent
growth. Millions of people are discovering the benefits of a direct
selling business. It’s been acknowledged as an avenue to real
wealth in numerous books including Robert Kyosaki’s Rich Dad series
and David Bach’s Start Late Finish Rich.
Ø
Benefits of Direct
Selling
§
It’s really fun. You
get to grow your business with people who are interested in building
a brighter future. We motivate each other, and share ideas to
uplift and support one another.
§
This business is
literally one party after another. You get paid to have girl’s
night out!
§
Set your own schedule.
Never work on your birthday again, and be at every event your family
needs you to attend.
§
Nobody tells you what
to do, or when to do it.
§
You decide… how much
money do you want to make. Want a couple hundred dollars a month,
do one or two parties. Want a couple thousand? Do three or four a
week.
§
Your earnings are in
proportion to your efforts. If you dedicate yourself to your
business, you will succeed!
Ø
No Pre-Requisites!
§
Any one can do this.
Whether you’re an MBA or a high school drop out. You can do this
business. I’m here to walk you through it. We have tons of
supports in place to help you make it happen.
§
Start up is as simple
as filling out your contract and waiting to receive your kit. Once
you have it, you can start earning immediately.
§
Low Fees!! You can
typically start a direct selling business for under $500. I’ll tell
you the exciting news about starting a Norwex business later. But
first, let me tell you about our company.
v
The Company
Ø
Our History
§
Norwex got its start in
Norway, when Jorunn (pronounced Joanne) asked her sister Gerd – “Do
you have these in Canada?”(wave pink enviro cloth). Gerd, who was
visiting from Canada, replied, “Yeah, we have rags in Canada!”
Joanna explained that this was no ordinary rag, and that with it,
she could clean her entire home using only water! Gerd brought the
cloth home, and stored it under the kitchen sink, where it stayed
until sometime later when Debbie entered Gerd life. She was
visiting with Gerd’s son, to discuss importing sweaters from
Norway. You see, Debbie was a fashion importer. Gerd suggested to
Debbie that if she was importing from Norway anyway, she may want to
take a look at her ‘rag’, and a company was born! The women flew to
Norway to meet with the company selling these products, and enquired
as to whether they would be interested in expanding to North
America. They definitely were, and together, they decided to name
their new home party company Norwex – which stands for Norwegian
Experience. And that’s why the Norwegian flag is on our label to
this day.
§
At the helm of our
company are some tremendous women and men. Debbie Bolton is our
CEO, and has been a part of the direct selling industry since
childhood. First, as a child of a single mother who provided for
her family as a Direct Sales consultant, and later as a business
owner herself. With over 20 years hands on experience, Debbie
brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to running her business,
and it shows! She is widely loved and respected within the company
and the industry. Debbie has become well known for the respect and
admiration she shows for her consultants and customers every day.
Her influence and expertise have everything to do with the
incredible success that Norwex has enjoyed. Not only does she offer
unparalleled service to her customers and consultants, she has
engineered a business that continues to show a profit every year!
Norwex has never run a deficit!
Debbie has travelled
many countries and sees that women especially need a way to help
themselves…to be over-comers rather than overcome. Debbie sees
Norwex as a way to globally help others fulfill their destinies.
Ø
Our Philosophies
§
The Norwex Mission is
to improve human life by radically reducing the use of chemicals in
personal care and cleaning.
§
This company mission
statement is the core of our business. We believe this is also the
way of the future. The Consumer Product Safety Commission tells us
that of the chemicals commonly found in homes, “150 have been linked
to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and psychological
abnormalities.” We believe that as a company we can lead this trend
into the future. Combined with high-quality products and a strong
brand name, we will be a cutting-edge company.
Ø
Our Strategies
§
Norwex Enviro Products’
success is the result of it’s high-quality service and product
standards. Exceeding our customer’s expectations and providing
premiere value and quality are our top priorities. As such, we
employ the following strategies:
·
An unconditional 60 day
satisfaction guarantee! All products - this includes consumables.
·
A full 2 year
performance warranty on all non-consumables. This applies to mops,
and all microfiber products.
·
Prioritized shipping.
Norwex ships all products Xpresspost. This means that in most cases
(barring post office errors), products are received with one week in
Canada, and within two weeks in the US.
·
Norwex products are
tested and retested for quality. Their track record, with a return
rate of less than 1%, speaks for itself.
Ø
Our Marketing
§
The Norwex hostess
program is unmatched in the industry. With a four star plan,
virtually every hostess will receive something free, and most
hostesses receive over $200 in free gifts! Some receive as much as
$600 or more!!!
§
Norwex print materials
are professional and environmentally friendly. Printed with
vegetable based dyes, even our catalogues are in keeping with our
mission. We offer these materials at minimal cost to consultants as
part of our aim to empower our sales consultants to achieve their
personal and financial goals and dreams.
v
The Product
Ø
Revolutionary
Technology
§
Microfiber is the
terminology used to describe ultra-fine manufactured fibers, (finer
than 1/6th of a human hair) and it’s also the name given
to the technology of developing these fibers.
Microfiber yarn development in the
1980s and early 1990s was specifically intended to stimulate
competition for natural yarn materials, like cotton and silk. One
of the early adopters of microfiber yarn was Olsson Cleaning
Technology, Sweden, who discovered that splitting the fibers made
the fibers “grab” and improved the performance of cleaning towels.
The benefit was huge because it was no longer necessary to use
cleaning chemicals and the microfiber was nearly lint-free.
§
Currently, there are
four types of synthetic microfibers being produced. These include
acrylic, nylon, polyester and rayon. Norwex microfiber products use
the most effective blend of microfiber material for cleaning
applications; nylon and polyester.
§
The Norwex
microfiber is made with a 70/30 blend of nylon (polyamide) and
polyester.
Polyester
microfiber as the sole constituent of a cloth will wear and shed
fiber with use, so it is best utilized in combination with Nylon.
Nylon, a synthetic thermoplastic material introduced in 1938, is
strong, elastic, and resistant to abrasion and chemicals, and low in
moisture absorbency. When combined with the polyester microfiber in
just the right combination, a cloth results with the advantages of
both synthetics.
§
Norwex technology
continues to advance, producing the highest quality microfiber on
the market today. We are now able to create fibers that are less
than 1/100th of a human hair in width. This enables our
cloth to get into the tiny imperfections on surfaces and remove dirt
and bacteria that other cloths miss. The Norwex cloth removes
99.94% of bacteria using only water, and because of its intrinsic
strength and durability, the cloth has been shown to last 7 years or
more! Further, our cloths now have silver embedded in the fibers,
making them antibacterial, for added peace of mind.
§
With these cloths,
cleaning is faster, easier, and more effective than traditional
cleaning methods.
Ø
Changing the World…
§
Using Norwex Enviro Products is the environmentally sound, health
conscious choice. Because this microfiber, along with the remainder
of our cleaning line, allows the user the opportunity to eliminate
the use of toxic chemicals in cleaning altogether. Thus, not only
does the user stop pouring harmful chemicals into the environment,
they stop exposing themselves to these toxins as well.
§
Norwex Enviro Products
are also far more economical than traditional chemical cleaning
methods. The average North American household spends between
$5-600/year on cleaning chemicals and disposable cleaning products
such as paper towels. A minimal purchase allows the user to begin
saving money immediately, simply because he/she doesn’t have to
purchase chemical products any longer.
§
Our products are
durable, long lasting, and where applicable, concentrated, for
economical benefit.
v
The Business
Ø
Immediate Income
§
As a
new Norwex consultant, you have the opportunity to begin earning an
income immediately through in-home presentations and parties. As a
consultant, you enjoy a 35% commission on all home party sales.
This usually equates to about $200 income per party.
§
In getting started, we
recommend you host your own home party. This is a great way to
announce your new business endeavor to friends and family, plus, as
a hostess, you will receive the free gifts.
§
Norwex has engineered
our business so that we have the freedom to sell our products at
trade shows. (A significant benefit over many other home party
companies.)
§
Fundraisers are a great
way to grow your business while helping causes you believe in. When
processing fundraisers, we recommend donating a percentage of your
commission (usually 25-30% of total sales) to the event. When you
place these orders as parties, you will receive the free hostess
gifts, and earn your profit when you sell them. Further,
fundraisers can be an excellent avenue for meeting new customers,
hostesses and recruits.
§
Person to person sales
(without hostess gifts) enjoy a sales commission of 40%.
Ø
Ongoing Support
§
As a
new consultant on our Norwex team, you get immediate access to our
team support website. Created by a top managers on our team, this
benefit is unique to our group of Norwex consultants. The web
includes an extensive library of over 200 documents, an online
calendar of meetings and events, FAQ pages, and detailed
instructions for order placing, as well as a consultant forum for
discussing our business.
§
You get the benefit of
participating in regularly held (monthly) conference calls. There
is no conference fee for these calls, just the regular long distance
charges to a US number. These calls are conducted by successful
leaders on our team who are dedicated to helping you learn and
implement the skills and strategies that have made them successful.
§
When you join this
business with me, I become your business partner. As such, I will
be available to you for ongoing personalized training and support.
As a career consultant, I am dedicated to helping you reach your
personal goals, and I recognize that your goals may not be the same
as my own. Respect is one of the tenets upon which this business is
built, as such, I will work with you as much (or as little) as you
would like.
§
In most areas, you will
also have the opportunity to attend regularly held team meetings,
conducted by leaders on our team. This provides an opportunity to
meet like-minded individuals, and share our successes and challenges
in a personal, uplifting environment. All while receiving
invaluable training.
§
Norwex head office is
currently developing a back office website that will be offered to
all consultants free of charge. With it, you will have the
opportunity to have your own website where customers can shop for
products, book parties, and learn about joining our team. This site
promises to be world class, and is expected to be launched in June
of 2008.
§
Online ordering means
minimal paperwork that is fast and easy. Just input quantities of
product ordered, and the program does the math for you!
Ø
Intrinsic Benefits
§
The
generous Norwex Hostess program makes obtaining bookings a rather
easy prospect, and our hostess program is company funded. This
means that as a consultant, you do not pay for any of the gifts your
hostess receives. Your 35% commission is a true 35%.
§
Our supplies are low
cost. Catalogues are only 55 cents each, and order forms are
$9.50/100. Our catalogue changes only once per year, so one
catalogue per customer is sufficient.
§
Norwex offers
consultants the opportunity to earn incentive gifts on a monthly and
annual basis. These range from free product to free trips!
§
As a member of our
Norwex team, you may also be eligible for sales incentives offered
by your manager.
§
As a Norwex consultant,
you have the opportunity to set your goals, and reach them. Our
products are timely and popular. As such, they are easy to sell if
you learn the skills to sell them. Because you have access to the
training to learn to sell them effectively, you now have the
opportunity to challenge yourself, and literally make your dreams
come true!
§
Norwex head office
submits all sales taxes, so we need never worry about quarterlies.
§
You have the
flexibility to set your own hours, and as a self employed business
owner, you are privilege to many tax breaks, including the
opportunity to deduct mileage, a portion of utilities, phone bill
and other home office expenses.
v
The Possibilities
Ø

§
With
Norwex, you can begin earning residual income once you hire as few
as three consultants. At this level you will earn a 3% commission
based on the sales of your recruits
§
Norwex has a 5 level
commission structure, you can earn as much as 5% on personal
recruits, 2% on personal offspring, and 1% on the next two levels
down.
§
Norwex has no ceiling
on commissions. There is no point at which the company limits your
earning ability.
§
Real life earning
ability? Norwex has been in business for 9 years, and there are
currently Senior Executive Managers earning in excess of
$10,000/month. Some have been consultants less than three years.
Ø
No Restrictions
§
Our
company will not participate in organizations that attempt to
regulate our opportunities as consultant. As such, we are free to
sell within North America, without geographical restrictions. If
Norwex is in a country, you can recruit there. To date, we are able
to recruit in USA, Canada, Norway, England, Austria, Latvia,
Lithuania and Estonia. We are expected to begin recruiting in
Australia as early as May, 2008.
§
We are welcome to
advertise on our vehicles. We may advertise in print provided we
follow guidelines set forth by head office (see your manager).
§
To maintain status as
an active consultant, you need only sell $250 in each six month
period. To receive manager’s cheques, you need only sell
$250/month.
§
As consultants, we are
encouraged to be the hostess as often as we like. This presents us
the benefit of receiving free hostess gifts regularly.
